Dear Guest (hereunder "You" or "the User"). As this site uses cookies for different purposes, in this note we want to explain to you what cookies are and how this site uses them. Some cookies (called third-party cookies) are controlled by third-parties. On this note you will find links to this third parties' cookie policies, which we invite you to read carefully. Even if you already know cookies please read our cookie policy and privacy policy carefully to make your choiches consciously.

A. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don't have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another (these cookies are called first-party cookies).

During web surfing on a site, you can receive on your device also cookies from other websites or servers (called third-party cookies). This happens because on the website you are visiting there can be some elements (images, maps, sounds, videos, links to other websites...) which are hosted on a different web server than the one on which the page you are visiting is hosted. In other words: this cookies are controlled by a website which is not the one you are currently visiting.

There are two types of cookies:

Session cookies: these are temporary cookie files, which are erased when you close your browser. When you restart your browser and go back to the site that created the cookie, the website will not recognize you. You will have to log back in (if login is required) or select your preferences/themes again if the site uses these features. A new session cookie will be generated, which will store your browsing information and will be active until you leave the site and close your browser.

Persistent cookies: these files stay in one of your browser's subfolders until you delete them manually or your browser deletes them based on the duration period contained within the persistent cookie's file.

Cookies are used for different purposes. Some are essential to let you be able to browse a site and use its features (technical cookies). Some others are used to collect stats on the number of users that access the site and how the site is used (analytics cookies). Some other cookies are used to track your consumer profile and show you online ads on a site, which are consistent with your consumer habits (profiling cookies).

To know cookies and cookie cathegories in detail and freely choose if you whish to agree of deny the use of cookies, go on reading the information below.

B. Technical cookies

Technical cookies are those used on a site to the only purpose of letting you browse the site and use its features. These are always first-party cookies because they are directly controlled by this site. Some cookies are essential to offer you the best navigation experience: eg to login, access a private area of the site or shop online (navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are normally session cookies: once you close your browser the will be deleted. Other technical cookies, called functionality cookies are for example used to remember your preferences on the site (for example language or Country of origin). These are normally persistent cookies. They last until their expire date or until you decide to delete them from your device.

As expected by the applicable privacy law, it is not compulsory to obtain your preventive consent to install this type of cookies. You are anyway free to block the installation of technical cookies by modifying your browser's settings (see paragraph F n. 1). Please consider that blocking technical cookies may prevent you from accessing a site or using some of its features.

C. "Analytics" cookies

Analytics cookies are used on this site to collect stats on the number of users accessing the site and on how they use the site. The analytics cookies that may be used on this site are third party cookies because they are not directly installed by this site but by third parties. The analytics cookies listed below are installed on your device after your consent because they are not anonimous (the third parties who control these cookies could in theory track your IP address):

Google Analytics third-party analytics cookie (permanent)
https://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html?hl=it www.google.it/policies/privacy/partners/

In case you will agree with our cookie policy we will track your choice using a specific technical cookie and you will not see the banner the next time you visit the site (unless block or cancel this technical cookie from your device, as explained in paragraph F).

You are of course free to block analytics cookies without compromising the possibility to browse the site or use its features. To learn how to remove this cookie please read the third-party cookie policy following the link here above.

Cookie profiling is used to create your user profile based on preferences and your choices while you browse the Internet and let you see advertising messages wich are consistent with your profile. This site does not use cookie profiling.

E. Third party cookies

By browsing this site you can receive on your device first-party cookies and third-party cookies (which are controlled by other societies). A clear example of this kind of cookies are the so-called social plugins for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. This social plugins are elements included in a page a site which are created and controlled by other websites (third parties). They are manly used to share a link or a page on the social networks.

Other third-party cookies are used to integrate some external features or software in a website. For example this site uses the Vimeo Player to let you watch some videos directly on the site.
